How to use BUDI95 on TNG eWallet

Follow these five easy steps to start using BUDI95 via your TNG eWallet. Here’s a quick breakdown of the process.

Step 1: Download and set up TNG eWallet

If you’re not yet a TNG eWallet user, download Touch ‘n Go eWallet from the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery.

Sign up with your mobile number.
Create a secure 6-digit PIN.

Step 2: Verify your account

All TNG eWallet users are required to verify their accounts, and this step also enables you to access BUDI95.

Go to your profile in TNG eWallet and tap “Account Verification”
Under ID type, choose MyKad
Scan the front of your MyKad
Take a selfie
Submit your details.

Generally, account verification can be completed instantly. However, in some cases where additional information is required, it may take up to 7 working days.

Just ensure that the lighting is good when you are scanning your MyKad and taking a selfie during the verification process.

Once your account is verified, you can start using BUDI95.

Step 3: Access BUDI95 from your eWallet

To check your BUDI95 eligibility and allocation, tap the BUDI95 icon on your eWallet home screen. If you don’t see it, tap More, and key in “BUDI95” in the search bar to find it.

Step 4: Buy RON95 fuel

Stop your vehicle at the petrol pump.
Launch BUDI95 and tap “Buy Fuel”.
Select or confirm the petrol station that’s auto-detected. If you don’t see it, check that your phone’s location setting is on.
Enter your pump number and select your fuel amount.
Tap “Pay Now” and approve your payment.
A QR code will be generated upon successful payment

Tip: Make sure you have sufficient eWallet balance. You can reload anytime via DuitNow transfer.

Step 5: Activate the pump

Present the QR code at the station counter for staff to scan and unlock the pump.

Note: Any unused fuel amount will be refunded to your eWallet within 5 minutes if your tank fills up before you finish pumping. Both your eWallet balance and fuel subsidy quota will be updated concurrently.

How to use Petronas via Setel in TNG eWallet to get your fuel benefit

While this option is exclusive for Petronas stations only, this method allows you to skip the cashier counter entirely and access the petrol pump directly through TNG eWallet in the palm of your hand.

Step 1: Access Petronas via Setel

Open your TNG eWallet
Tap on “More”
Search for “Petronas via Setel” in the search bar
Tap the “Petronas via Setel” icon when it pops out
If you’re a new user, tap “Get Started”
If you’re an existing user, you can skip to the next step.

Step 2: Purchase RON95 fuel through Petronas via setel

Tap on the “Petronas via Setel” icon
Tap “Purchase fuel”. The app will auto-detect your location. If you don’t see it, check that your phone’s location setting is on.

Step 3: Confirm and pay

Select your pump number and fuel amount
Select RON95 fuel type
Tap on “Proceed with BUDI95”
Pay directly with the app
The pump is now activated and you can begin refuelling

Is TNG eWallet the only way to use the BUDI MADANI RON95 allocation?

No. While TNG eWallet offers a convenient way to use your allocation, it is not the only option. You can also:

Present your MyKad at the petrol counter. Staff will confirm your eligibility and apply the benefit, after which you can pay using your preferred payment method, such as credit/debit card, including Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card, any accepted e-wallets, or cash.

Using your MyKad at the pump is another easy option. At select petrol stations, just insert your MyKad into the card reader at the pump. The system will instantly verify your eligibility and apply the subsidised price. After that, you can pay with your credit or debit card, including the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card.

These options ensure that all Malaysians can enjoy the fuel benefit anyway they want. However, using TNG eWallet provides a faster and more seamless experience, as you don’t need to verify your eligibility manually each time you refuel.
