Marcus Naik

Marcus Naik joined TNG Digital in 2020 and was appointed Head of Data and Business Intelligence in April 2023. He is responsible for the company’s data strategy, governance, and monetisation efforts, turning data into measurable business value. In 2026, the function evolved into Data & AI, expanding from analytics to building automation and AI systems that streamline operations and enable the organisation to scale efficiently.

 

As part of TNG Digital’s founding data team, Marcus played a key role in scaling data capabilities through a period of rapid growth, from 2 million to over 25 million users. He helped build proprietary credit scoring engines, income proxy models, fraud detection systems, and in-house identity verification solution, delivering significant cost savings and long-term value. Under his leadership, the team has evolved from a reporting function into a revenue-generating partner trusted to improve both user experience and business performance.

 

Prior to TNG Digital, Marcus held roles at Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation, working on electric vehicle optimisation and smart manufacturing projects across Germany and China. He began his career at Kaodim Group, a regional services marketplace, where he led supply-demand modelling, revenue attribution, and platform optimisation across Southeast Asia.

 

Marcus holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. His research experience spans computer vision and machine learning, with several peer-reviewed publications in applied machine learning.
