July highlights: BUDI DIESEL, hidden rewards and staying scam-smart with TNG eWallet
by Haziq
July was one of our biggest months yet. Malaysia’s new diesel subsidy programme went nationwide, we hid prizes worth thousands of Ringgit inside our app, and we teamed up with PDRM to help Malaysians fight back against scams. Here’s everything you need to know.
BUDI DIESEL: What you need to know
If you drive a diesel vehicle, July brought a significant change to the way you access your fuel subsidy.
The BUDI DIESEL programme officially kicked off on 1 July 2026, replacing the previous cash assistance mechanism with a new system that lets eligible Malaysians purchase subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre directly at the pump. The subsidy is verified using your MyKad, with a monthly quota of 200 litres shared between BUDI95 RON95 and BUDI DIESEL.
TNG eWallet makes it even easier. Rather than using your physical MyKad at the station counter, you can access your BUDI DIESEL subsidy directly through the BUDI MADANI feature in your TNG eWallet. Select your fuel type, petrol station and pump number, complete the QR payment process, and your subsidy is applied instantly. Any unused balance from the pre-authorised amount is automatically refunded to your eWallet after the transaction.
To help you get started, we’ve put together a full guide covering eligibility requirements, registration steps, payment details and other key information.

GTFO Bersama PDRM: Know what to do when scammers strike
Staying one step ahead of scammers starts with knowing exactly what to do when something goes wrong.
This July, we launched GTFO Bersama PDRM, a new video series available in Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mandarin, created in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to help Malaysians navigate today’s scam landscape with more confidence. In the first episode, we tackle some of the most common questions people have after falling victim to a scam, including how to make a police report, what immediate steps to take, and whether lost funds can be recovered.
It’s practical, straightforward, and built around real questions from real Malaysians.
Wrapping up July
July was a month that reminded us how quickly things can change, from the way we access fuel subsidies to the tools we have to protect ourselves from scams. We hope these updates make your day-to-day life a little easier and a lot safer.
As always, the fastest way to find anything in TNG eWallet is through the search bar at the top of your homepage. Type in what you’re looking for, and it’ll take you straight there.
