eBelia
eBelia is an initiative by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Human Resources and Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), aimed to promote cashless spending, lighten the burden on youth’s expenses as well as encouraging businesses to go digital by accepting cashless transactions.

As the no. 1 eWallet in Malaysia and in building the cashless society, we urge the youths of Malaysia to join us for this digitalisation initiative, to grow the nation’s contactless and safe transactions via the RM150 eBelia credit.

What is the eBelia initiative?
  • eBelia is a government initiative under Budget 2021 by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.
  • The broad objectives are to ease the burden on youths’ expenses and encourage businesses especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to accept cashless payments.
  • Approximately 2 million Malaysians stand to benefit from eBelia, where the Government provides RM150 of e-wallet credit, to be used for purchases through the participating e-wallet service providers.
  • In addition, the participating e-wallet service providers will provide additional incentives through vouchers, cashback, discounts, reward points and ‘coins’.
