TNG Digital partners with CIMB to launch ASB Financing, its first Islamic financing offering
TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (‘TNG Digital’), the operator of Malaysia’s leading digital financial services and lifestyle app, TNG eWallet, today launched ASB Financing in collaboration with CIMB, marking its first Islamic financing offering.
The product aims to address barriers that have traditionally made long-term wealth building less accessible for many Bumiputera. Through a more convenient and integrated financing experience within TNG eWallet, users can now participate in Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) investments through structured monthly commitments instead of relying on substantial upfront savings.
While digital investment adoption continues to grow among Malaysians, many users still face practical barriers when exploring long-term investment financing, including upfront financial commitments, fragmented application journeys and complex documentation requirements. These challenges can make it harder, especially for younger and emerging investors, to begin building long-term wealth early.
Bumiputera users already make up 70% of TNG eWallet’s Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) investor base and contribute 52% of total investment value on the platform, signalling strong demand for accessible investment and wealth-building solutions within this segment. Since the integration of ASNB in 2023, TNG eWallet has continued to see growing adoption of digital investment services, with a 44% year-on-year growth in users actively investing through the platform as of May 2026. The introduction of ASB Financing reflects how digital financial platforms are increasingly becoming a gateway for Malaysians to access more integrated wealth-building solutions within their everyday financial ecosystem.
As the first Islamic financing product on TNG eWallet, ASB Financing builds on the platform’s existing integration with ASNB, which already enables users to view and manage their ASNB investments directly within the app. The financing, provided through CIMB Islamic Bank, is channelled directly into ASB funds, enabling users to grow their investment through structured monthly repayments, rather than a large upfront sum.
Desmond Teoh, Chief Financial Services Officer of TNG Digital said, “As our first Islamic financing offering on TNG eWallet, this launch also marks an important step in strengthening the breadth of financial solutions available within GOfinance. The strong adoption of ASNB investments on our platform clearly reflects growing interest in accessible and digitally connected wealth-building solutions among Malaysians.”
Haniz Nazlan, CEO, Group Consumer Banking, CIMB said, “We are pleased to collaborate with TNG Digital in driving the next phase of digital financial inclusion. Through the seamless and convenient digital financial solutions through the TNG eWallet, more Malaysians will have easier access to financial products and services, including investments together with accessibility to Islamic financing solutions that support their long-term financial goals.”
Through this feature, users can grow their wealth through ASB’s annual dividend distributions while developing more disciplined, long-term saving habits. With financing amounts ranging from RM10,000 up to RM200,000 and flexible tenures between 5 and 40 years, users can choose a plan that best fits their financial goals and capacity.
Applying for ASB Financing is fully digital within TNG eWallet, enabling users to apply, track their application status, and monitor their investments in one place, without the need for branch visits or manual paperwork.

As the latest addition to GOfinance, the all-in-one financial services hub within TNG eWallet, ASB Financing expands the platform’s growing ecosystem of investment, protection and financial management solutions. By simplifying access to financing and investments within a single digital experience, TNG Digital continues to make long-term financial planning more accessible for everyday Malaysians.
