April brought a mix of important conversations, meaningful community efforts and new ways to make everyday life simpler. From staying alert against evolving AI scams to supporting communities in need and improving access to digital salary payments, here’s a look at what happened on TNG eWallet this month.

Staying safe in the age of AI

As technology continues to evolve, scams are becoming more convincing and harder to detect. Artificial intelligence is now being used in ways that can make scam messages, fake calls and fraudulent content appear increasingly realistic.

This is why awareness and good security habits matter more than ever.

In a video created together with the Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia, Teo Nie Ching, she shared safety tips on how users can better protect themselves as AI-driven scams continue to evolve. The video also highlights why public awareness is important and how features such as biometric login can help users add an extra layer of protection to their eWallet accounts.

    Do more than just spend

For many users, eWallets are part of everyday spending, from paying bills to shopping and dining. But beyond payments, TNG eWallet also offers ways to help users manage and grow their money more intentionally.

With Save, users can set money aside separately from their daily spending balance while earning projected returns of up to 3.64% p.a.

By keeping savings separate, users can better manage their spending habits while steadily building funds for future goals, emergencies or planned expenses. It is designed to be a simple and accessible way for users to start building better financial habits over time.

    Lending a hand to Sandakan

Communities are strongest when people come together to support one another during difficult times.

Together with Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, TNG eWallet is using Tabung Pulih Bencana to help support communities in Sandakan affected by recent challenges.

Every contribution, whether big or small, can help support recovery efforts and aid those rebuilding their lives. The initiative also reflects how digital tools can make it easier for people to contribute to meaningful causes when help is needed most.

Making salary payments easier with KK Mart

Access to secure and reliable salary payments is an important part of financial inclusion.

This month, TNG eWallet partnered with KK Mart to help digitise salary payments for migrant employees through TNG eWallet.

Through this initiative, workers can receive their wages securely, reliably and on time, while reducing some of the challenges often associated with traditional banking access.

The partnership reflects a broader step towards improving financial accessibility and supporting a more inclusive digital payment ecosystem in Malaysia.

    Wrapping up April

April was a reminder that TNG eWallet can do more than support transactions. It can help users stay safer, build better financial habits and contribute to meaningful causes within the community.

As new challenges and opportunities continue to emerge, TNG eWallet remains focused on creating experiences that are practical, secure and built around the everyday needs of users.
